How to use the QTermWidget?

  • Hey everyone,

I'm currently trying to integrate the QTerminalWidget as terminal shell into a normal Qt-Project.

The problem is, that it does not generate any output. You can input characters but it only echos them back.

I know it is not an offical QTWidget, but maybe anyone has experience using the wigdet and could lend me a helping hand.

From what i found online, it should be straigt froward to use the terminal . (E.g. see this tutorial).

I already tried different configurations, e.g. like the one used in the qmltermwidget which is used in a retro terminal. And tried setting missing defines like many stack overflow articels suggest.

Im currently using Qt6 with the latest qterminalwiget master branch. I updated the whole project to from qt5 to qt6, but it was many replacing QRegex and TextDecoder. (The project it self does not throw any errors.)

Is there something im missing here? Do i need to do some special configuration?

    Best regards,

    Hi and welcome to devnet,

I would recommend to contact the projects authors. It will be easier for them to guide you further.
