I have installed BOTH 6.2.2 and 5.12.12 - in Linux Ubuntu "home " under SEPARATE folders.
I start QT creator via Ubuntu desktop icon

What appears almost at random - I can select "kit"

    all
desktop (?) ( what is desktop kit ?)
    6.2.2
    5. ? . ?
    "replacement for 6.? .?

Can I actually start / execute SPECIFIC QT load instead ?

As always my system is a mess and I like to have SOME control on what version , not what kit , of QT is being executed.

Are you asking about which Qt Creator you want to load, or which kit you want to build with, or which Qt you want your program to use at runtime?
