[SOLVED] I use F2 to jump to a function definition, can I jump back to a function usage?
-
Hello,
So, first I use F2 to jump from a function usage (can be many occurrences of a function usage in my app) to a function definition, now I want to jump back to a function usage where I came from. Is it possible and how?
Thank you!

I believe you can use Alt-LeftArrow to back up to the previous spot you were in before the jump.

it is - thank you!

Or try pressing F2 again...

Shameless plug: Check out http://developer.qt.nokia.com/videos/watch/meet-qt-creator-ide
I am explaining how I use Qt Creator and giving a rather subjective view on what is great with it. It has a section on navigation, too:-)

Pressing F2 again gets me into header file to function prototype, not where I came from.
Thanks for video, I'll check it out once I am tired.

Oh, right. Sorry, I misread your original question:-( mlong is right, Alt-LeftArrow is what you are looking for. You can also click on the yellow arrows at the top-left of your editor to do the same thing or use Alt-Tab to get a small window with the open documents (ordered by last visited).

Alt-Tab opens a list of opened applications in Ubuntu :)

Yeah, it is Ctrl-Tab/Ctrl-Shift-Tab... I should have looked it up to make sure before writing this. I use it so often that I am not even sure anymore what the exact key-combos are.
