Change colour of QScrollBar handle, but not "tray", without rewriting the whole style sheet.

Is there a QPalette setting that will let me change the colour of a QScrollBar handle without simultaneously changing the colour of the "groove" or "tray" within which it moves?
I'm trying to achieve greater contrast between the tray and the handle.
The only solution I can find seems to involve rewriting the entire style sheet for QScrollBars, which seems to end up removing the arrows on the up/down buttons.
