Best place to store instant messaging account data

Hi,

I am working on a simple contact snychronisation engine.
I wonder where I should store the instant messaging account information of my contacts ?
Is there a best place in the Contacts object where I should store this information ?

Does anyone has a hint or a pointer for me ?
