... on cancel. Why is that? I would like to access the fields, that were already filled in - but everything is gone after the user clicks cancel ...

    regards

Well, technically speaking you have two different wizard one after the other. Hence the use of one single wizard for both is maybe not the right thing to do. You should have them in sequence so that it is clear that you are handling two different things and especially that cancelling the order is unrelated to cancelling the whole process.

        Hi,

Technically speaking if you click cancel on a wizard I would not expect it to return any valid value. Like when you click on the back button the wizard page will be reset to the default values it contained.

Can you explain your use case ?

          Yes, sure:
I stumbled over this when implementing a Wizard to create a customer and an order in one go.
The first page gives the option to create a customer or select from a drop-down. If a customer is created, some pages collect the data of the customer. Then there is a confirmation page on the customer data (this page is setCommitPage (true)).
Now the data for the order is selected.
If the users cancels in this second part I would like to access the data of the first part of the wizard. This - to my surprise - was not possible.

This is not a big issue: I just save the data in the validation function of the confirmation page - but anyhow: this contradicts the field concept of the wizard, in my eyes.

          Thx and best regards
          HoM

Yes, well - so...? Do you argue, that my expectation is a misuse of the class? Why would there be the feature of the "commit page", if not for this case? So I would not agree on that.

Anyways: What is so strange to me: someone took the time to program the deletions of the fields - and that is really strange to me. Why on earth would you do that? Just close the thing and be done ...

              Bit thx for your ideas.
