Unsolved Can't use keyboard in Qt Creator, bug?
-
I have a problem with Qt Creator. Every once in a while if I change focus to some other window (even if it's my app that I'm debug-running) and then go back to use the editor, I can see the the cursor blinking in the correct position but letters I press just won't show up. I can use keys to e.g. save all files or build the app, it's only the editor that's not working. To fix it, I need to restart the app.
Edit: I've just went back to the editor and it worked, apparently it can fix itself without restarting if you just jump between applications for a while but it all seem very random.
My Qt Creator version is 4.14.1; "based on Qt 5.15.2 (GCC 11.2.1 20210728 (Red Hat 11.2.1-1), 64 bit)". I'm using Fedora with Gnome 3 and it's all from repository, not source. Is it known issue? I've found a bug report about if but it was placed in 2018.

So, it does not help to click where the mouse is?

@jsulm no, it doesn't help. I can move the text cursor around in the editor using the mouse and it changes positions all right, but it still won't accept key presses. Also, see the edit of the main post.

@Szymon-M-Sabat Interesting.
Did you search in Fedora bug tracker (or whatever they have)?
