    Hi People,

i have to say i am really disappointed with Qt creator. It had failed me a lot of times before, had to waste innumerable hours getting to do it what i want. But today i reached my boiling point and that thats why i write in this blog. An IDE is supposed to make developing easier. Taking care of boring pointless tasks that are usually just tedious. But Qt Creator manages to fail in even that. Take the template "subdirs". Its actually quite pointless and do absuletly nothing. I mean in such a project usually would be expected that the projects have an automatically created reference to one another, but.. nooo. You have to write one yourself in .pro and even if you do the system just ignores it. Today i tried to create a simple subdir project. One app one QtWidget Subproject. I have wasted 2 hours now havent managed to get it to work. If i follow the instructions on the wikie page about subdirs template completely nothing happens, then i try to add the includes and libs manually in .pro (whish i shouldnt have to do in an IDE environment) now at least the includes work but still no linking.... Very bad guys you are just driving developers away with that pretty poor software. If you cant even offer linking of projects then what the point of using Qt Creator? I d just use vim and command line and do the linking myself....
Sorry guys but you are really missing a huge point here. Developer base is a huge thing. SAP decided to move away from ABAP to js because of how many js developers were out there. You have to make your library and build toolchain as developer friendly as possible. Just depending on your actual developer pool isnt going to cut it. And at the current moment Qt Creator is just driving away people....
