QUdpSocket errors

Last week I wrote a transfer system using QUdpSocket which worked fine with no errors I managed to transfer 9 files each around 20MB.
Today the same code I'm getting network errors 7 (QAbstractSocket::NetworkError) and I've also seen 15 (QAbstractSocket::ProxyConnectionClosedError), although there is no proxy.
Is there anything I can do when these errors are encountered to recover?
