I got lazy and did not option for compiler verbose output , I am getting some output , but to help to fix my current linking problem maybe verbose would add.
What I actually need is just linker verbose output - if that is an option in Qt Creator.

    Thanks

    Found this

    QMAKE_CXXFLAGS += -v

Still looking for linker verbose only.

@AnneRanch said in please refresh my memory - option .pro for complier output:

      QMAKE_LFLAGS += -v
      QMAKE_LFLAGS += -Wl

        per https://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/gcc/Link-Options.html
        -Wl (capital W) needs options , compiler complains if there are none ;

        This works

        QMAKE_LFLAGS += -Wl,--verbose

        Now for the tough question

        QMAKE_LFLAGS += -v

        enables verbose output of compiler

        HOWEVER
HOW DO I DISABLE the option
        I DID NOT SET.

It seems to be set by default, but I do not know to to edit it and where.

So you want it verbose for linker but not for compiler, right?

If you still have QMAKE_CXXFLAGS += -v in your .pro file - remove it. If you don't, and compiler is still printing verbose stuff - then I don't know how to fix it.
