How to choose the suitable Qt version?

Hi experts,

Now I use qmake builder（Qt Version 5.11.3，qmake version ） within TI AM335X SDK package to develop Qt on the Linux platform, if I create Qt project in Windows10, how to choose the suitable Qt version?
And which Qt version is LTS?

5.9, 5.12 and 5.15

"how to choose the suitable Qt version?" - depends on your needs. Do you need a LTS version? If so take one of the LTS versions. It also depends on the tool chain for your device. Example: old compiler can force you to use an old Qt version.

Generally speaking: the newer the better, so for now that will be 5.15.x. This gives you most bug fixes, easiest porting to Qt 6 in the future, and most robust API.

except for Qt 6.x which is still in not quite ready yet

@jsulm Now we plan to use the cross compilation tool chain provided by TI AM335X SDK (6.3.0.0) to develop embedded Linux device, and the Qt version within TI AM335X SDK (6.3.0.0) is 5.11.3.

Whether it is ok to choose Qt 5.12 LTS version as GUI tool?
How long will Qt 5.12 LTS version support?
