How to read CAN bus in read-only mode?

Is it possible to access CAN bus in listen only mode. In fact what I want is for two Qt applications to share a single PEAK CAN adapter. First should be read/write second can be read only.

do it as a delegate. One app owns the interface, and then send the read-only data to the second app.
