Remove specific components from qt installation

  • The maintenance tool is a bit (very) obscure in how to use the tool to remove specific components. Are there any step by step instructions on how to do this?

Specifically, the add or remove components option has no obvious distinction about whether you are removing or adding. Instead you simply get a listing of all components with check boxes. So do you uncheck the 'WebAssembly' box and then hit next? The problem here is that the next screen gives no useful information as to what is about to be done. Instead, there is just a disk space usage message which is pretty much useless.

  • So I finally found an answer. You simply uncheck and hit next and then update. It would be nice if there was a better confirmation message that states exactly what is about to be done. The predicted disk usage is a bit lame.
