Solved Qt6 license and SQL drivers
-
From https://doc.qt.io/qt-6/qt6-buildsystem.html I know the license related options will be removed in future. There is a ReadMe under qtbase/src/plugins/sqldrivers. Did this ReadMe file claim still valid?

Hi,
As explained in the documentation you linked:
We removed both selections in Qt 6. The choice of licenses that are available to you depends on any legal contracts you have with The Qt Company, not on any artifacts.
It's about Qt not the third parties.
The Qt licenses and the licenses of third parties are two different things. If you are thinking about MySQL for example, they changed their licensing in 2019 or 2020 and made it only GPL/Commercial. This does not change anything for Qt except that if you want to use MySQL in a LGPL application, you will have to get a commercial license from Oracle or switch to MariaDB or use PostgreSQL.
So yes, the README still applies.
