Solved How to delay pop-up messages in Qt Creator
-
Noob question: Is there a way to delay the error and warning messages that pop up while I'm entering code? For example, I don't need to be told I'm missing the terminating semicolon until I'm finished typing a function declaration in a header file. If I could delay those messages for maybe 1s, there wouldn't be such distracting chatter:
"void " you fool! "expected member name or ';' after declaration specifiers" while highlighting the }; at the end of the class definition ..."get" bzzzt! field has incomplete type 'void' - expected ';' at end of declaration list..."Data(" up pops a list of everything you could possibly add after an opening parenthesis. All this while typing "void getData();" in class.h. [Qt Creator 4.14.0, Linux] -
Hi
As far as I know, there is no such option.Im not sure its default or not, but make sure its set to display at the far right
Or uncheck "Line annotations" so only the little triangle is shown and you have to hover it.
At least makes it easier to ignore.

Thank you for your helpful reply. I did not know they were called "Line annotations". I can look for the little triangles and circles after I'm finished typing, as well as the inevitable spelling errors.
