Qt Creator 414.0, why, why, why?

For some reason which I won't repeat in a hurry when prompted today to update Qt Creator I accepted.

When it launched the first thing that was displayed was a notification that a plugin had been disabled, but it didn't tell me what the plugin was, which is as helpful as a Qt error message.

When Qt Creator launched, my workspace that was previously loaded automatically did not open.

This is what is displayed in About:

I tried to open the project and the only thing that loaded was the pro file. What is wrong?

How do I get my project open in this version, I can't work at all now!

Ok, I've sorted it, in the Qt folder I found the original Qt Creator, after launching that everything was ok again, in the about dialog the above details are also shown.
