[Wish] Qt-Creator: Add valgring arguments field like for Make and other.
Phenom last edited by
We're developing an application with a lot of threads.
Valgring crash with this message:
Use --max-threads=INT to specify a larger number of threads and rerun valgrind valgrind: the 'impossible' happened: Max number of threads is too low
But how can I pass this command-line option?
Looking at the Run Settings for Valgrind, there doesn't seem to be a generic way to specify valgrind only arguments, indeed. Can you file a suggestion about this at https://bugreports.qt.io/ ?

Not sure, but I thought I might have seen this suggested years ago in bugreports! :)
If the OP is Linux at least, should be possible to interpose a
valgrindshell script for Creator to call instead of the actual
valgrindexecutable, as a workaround for putting in extra options etc.
@JonB , you're right ! https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTCREATORBUG-18693

Yep :) Oh look, it suggests the shell scripting I suggested above as workaround!

Please note it is usually more efficient to file feature requests on bugreports.qt.io, or make some noise there if a report already exists. Chances that someone picks up suggestions from the web forum are slim. Exceptions like this here prove the rule.
