my problem is diff , New Project -> qt widgets app-> qmake .next -> none kits can select.
so i manage it, finded qt version is none, i added from "D:\qt\Tools\QtDesignStudio\qt5_design_studio_reduced_version\bin\qmake.exe"。kits could been ok , but project can't be build.
shows:
Project ERROR:License check failed! Giving up ... -
Since QtDesignStudio is a commercial product you should ask the qt support.

so i manage it, finded qt version is noneYou must install the Qt libraries and a compatible compiler. Run your MaintenanceTool and install:
- Qt 5.15.1 > MinGW 8.1.0 32-bit
- Developer and Designer Tools > MinGW 8.1.0 32-bit
(Alternatively, you can use the MSVC versions. If you want this, you must install Microsoft Visual Studio separately)
i added from "D:\qt\Tools\QtDesignStudio\qt5_design_studio_reduced_version\bin\qmake.exe"。
"D:\qt\Tools\QtDesignStudio\qt5_design_studio_reduced_version\bin\qmake.exe" is only for running the Qt Design Studio application. It is not for building widget applications.

Since QtDesignStudio is a commercial product
There is also a Qt Design Studio Community Edition (see https://www.qt.io/blog/qt-design-studio-1.6-released )

are they different ?

The first one installs Qt libraries (DLLs). The second one installs a C++ compiler.
You need both of them to build a widget application.

You only need Qt 5.15.1 for MinGW + MinGW...
