A Qt Developer Network badge?
-
Hello,
No, I'm not speaking of the badges you can earn in the forum, something completely different: How about badges you can put on your weblog/website/whatever showing you're a member of the DN, you have a rank there, badges, etc.?
Something like this, but for DN:
(also available as JS http://www.developpez.com/ws/badgescript?user=254882 or frame http://www.developpez.com/ws/badge?user=254882). (I did not find anything about this in this forum.)
What do you think?

I'm an old nerdy-geeky, not-much-showing-of type of guy myself, so I won't be too interested in that. But I am aware my species is dying out ;)
Dunno, maybe a good idea for some people. Would require some more public API to allow anonymous data access, and some more additional work on creating the snippet by our gorgeous Trolls (Alexandra, Marius & Gurudutt, if I recall well). Or, maybe you are interested in contributing code? I think they are busy as it is with current maintenance.
Just some thoughts. Don't feel obliged to take them too seriously :)

A good idea!
Do you mind opening a feature request in the public "bugtracker":https://bugreports.qt.nokia.com

I'm also a bit old-school for generated signatures but if more folks are up for it definitively I'll add it to the wish list!
Something like http://sc2sig.com/ right? :)
Hum.. come to think of it, it could be a cool idea for a QML/Qt app! It's fetching data from the API / profile page and then decorate a nice background image with details in some pattern - then output a .png with auto upload somewhere - and provide the html needed to include it.

I'm still not that used to Jira ^^. Here is the issue: https://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTWEBSITE-332
Well, a public API to create our own badge (or whatever) might be a good idea (on the top of the badge, for those who have no time or no knowledge of Web-related things).
Kind of that thing for Starcraft 2, but a bit more professional ;). It would be interesting to have multiple formats (and several sets of information to show).

!http://www.developpez.net/forums/images/smilies/chin.gif! , it seems this a lot of people would be interested in it!
BTW, which link?
