Topology of the network.

Hi.
I want to use mobile android to connect to mesh wifi.
As the wiki says, "Intermediate nodes not only boost the signal, but cooperatively pass data from point A to point B by making forwarding decisions based on their knowledge of the network, i.e. perform routing by first deriving the topology of the network".

Of course I've already seen WifiManager and more, but how can I "deriving the topology of the network"?

Does the manufacturer of other devices in such a network describe a protocol for network knowledge and data between nodes?
Is there a standard?

What does QT offer for working with mesh wifi nodes?

Sorry, I'm probably bad at showing questions because I not understand the topic.
Thanks for any comments and information

Qt has nothing to do with mesh WiFi protocol.

Here you have a list for mesh related reference that might be of interest.
