I don't see that error. Maybe a hardware limitation of your webcam device?

resolution: "1280x720" // 720p
using: https://www.logitech.com/en-au/product/hd-webcam-c525

I specified the viewfinder.resolution and it just didn't work if I went out of range (1920x1080). It did seem to work @ 1280x720 - I didn't get that message though.
