QT SDK Installation error about Windows Logo
-
I was trying to install QT SDK online version. It stopped at 72% and gave me an error message.
The error message is something like the following:
"The software you are installing has not passed Windows Logo."It's not exactly an error because I can continue on installing it. But, I aborted the installation because the error said that continuing might damage my computer system immediately or in the future.
I have Windows XP
Service Pack 3
I have Microsoft Visual C++ installed, if that has something to do with it.
I also checked my Cryptographic Services and it is set to Automatic in Startup type, if that has something to do with it.
I really want to learn QT framework. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to this forum.
Could it be the standard warning of Windows when you are installing SW?
When you are executing the installer it will give you a warning indicating that the SW type might cause damage to your system.
You can test the executable beforehand with a virus scanner if you are not sure. However, the warning shall tell you also the issuer of the SW which has to be "Nokia" and it will give you also the name of the executable. -
This is so weird. I tried installing the online version again because I wanted to take a picture of the error message and show it. But, the installation went to completion and it is successfully installed. I don't know what happened or what fixed it.
Thanks for the fast reply. If it weren't for your fast reply, I wouldn't have try installing again.
Hopefully, I won't get any further errors when I try using this software.
Thanks again!
Note: I don't know what SW is.

Sorry. For causing confusion.
SW is the abbreviation(short) for software like HW for hardware
I guess you are a starter not only with Qt. However, it is nothing to be ashamed of. We all had to get through the experience and learn the stuff. And most of us still do and it will never stop :-)
Good luck
