Solved Linux 5.15 build - cleaning before reconfiguration?
-
Hi
I am currently trying to get a 5.15 Linux build working and this involves repeatedly installing dependencies and trying again. I'd like to start again without having to unpack the source from scratch again but output from
configure
says:Prior to reconfiguration, make sure you remove any leftovers from the previous build.
The documentation says to run
make confclean
but for me that yields:make: *** No rule to make target `confclean'. Stop.
How do I clean a configuration?
Thanks.
(PS Apologies but I posted a Q in the general forum the other day that should have gone here. I hadn't spotted this subforum - sorry!)

Hi,
The most simple: do an out of source build. That way you can nuke the build folder and start new without touching the content of the sources.
