MTU size of LowEnergy connection on macOS limited to 104 bytes?

Hi,
I've tested with the lowenergyscanner on macOS, Windows and Linux and connected to the same device. The device requests an MTU size of 251 bytes. But only on linux and windows it can establish a connection with this size. On macOS the mtu size request is rejected and only 104 bytes are achieved. Is there any software reason for this? Is it possible to achieve more via a certain fix?
