    Hi all,

    I have just updated my system to Ubuntu 20.04, including a new version of Qt Creator. Upon opening the Qt Creator I have to wait for a solid minute before I can select anything. I see that it is Updating documentation.

    Upon opening a project, I tried both files from a remote server using sshfs and local files, it takes a long time to load, in about 75% of cases I get a warning from Ubuntu that Qt Creator is not responding. Same goes after saving the file or sometimes even scrolling through the file. I have 16GB ram and used CPU doesn't explode.

    I have already disabled Clang.

    Any ideas what I could do? I really enjoy Qt Creator but it is not possible to work with the current setup.

      @Renata
      I am disappointed to hear this. I'd like to move on from my present 19.04 to 20.04 and I only ever take the Qt/Creator which comes with the distro. I was holding off as everyone says never upgrade to new Ubuntu releases immediately, always wait a bit for patches! Not sure whether this sort of behaviour will get patched.

      This would be a killer for me. Could you keep us updated if this changes/improves, please? If anyone else has future experiences with 20.04 please let us know here.

        Because of this post I waited a long time before just now moving to Ubuntu 20.04. I am now:

        Linux ubuntu-20 5.4.0-40-generic #44-Ubuntu
        Qt Creator 4.11.0
        Qt 5.12.8

        I am relieved to say Creator seems as fast as it used to be :) I don't use anything remote. So for anyone reading this, I think it's OK to go ahead with 20.04 + Qt Creator.
