Qt3DStudio insists on writing .materialdef files' absolute paths in the very file.
eg. c:/user/thatsme/mywork/materials/whatever.materialdef contains something like "path=c:/user/thatsme/mywork/materials/whatever.materialdef"
First that's a little silly, obviously if you can read the file you already know its path.
Then otherguy edits something and the property becomes "c:/user/otherguy/etc." and the files show up on and on and again and again on git and you never know if it's a genuine material change or just the silly path. I tried setting it to "./materials/" or "../materials/" etc., no luck.

Is there some way to make that path local or remove it altogether?
