How to capture foreground events from my application in background?

I want to get information about application which currently is in foreground. And also track changes of switching applications in foreground.

    Platform: MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan

Thanks, but looks like it's not what I was looking for.

I'm interesting not only in an activation/deactivation event for my own app.

I want to monitor which application currently active at foreground.
