[Solved]how to make a stripped install?

  • Hi,

Is there an option to make a stripped install for qt-everywhere-opensource-src-4.8.0?
There is a QMAKE_STRIP defined in qmake.conf, when it will be used?

  • I found the problem.

qt-everywhere-opensource-src-4.8.0's 'make install' will call strip, i use 'sudo make install' which not inherit the environment from the current user and failed to find the strip program. it just print the error message and ingored it, so the installed files are not strip.

add strip's path to the env solve the problem.
