Solved Cannot add new devices (Qt-Creator)
-
Under Options->Devices->Add, is greyed out. It worked previously but then I updated Qt-Creator to 4.10.1. I deleted all the settings in ~/.config, but still
is greyed out... Any ideas what I am doing wrong? -
I downgraded back to 4.8.2 and I can add new devices again...

If you think it is a bug you might report it over at https://bugreports.qt.io/projects/QTCREATORBUG. -
Yes I will, but first I try the current git version and see if it is still affected, then I know this issue has not beed addressed yet. At leas I couldnt find something devices related in the bug search...
-
Version 4.11.0-rc1 is also affected. Bug created QTCREATORBUG-23246
-
I somehow cant imagine that this bug was not noticed by anyone since Qt-Creator Version
4.10.0-rc1... What Qt-Creator version are you using? Can someone confirm that on a newer version >=4.10.0-rc1? Maybe I forgot to set a compile flag that is needed for adding new devices... -
Problem solved! This was a Gentoo Linux specific issue. The qt-creator gentoo package somehow sometime introduced the "remotelinux" compile flag. I missed that flag and adding devices works now with the latest qt-creator version if that flag was provided to emerge. Sorry for the inconvenience ..
