      Sorry if this is a rookie or irrelevant question, but I really ain't got the time to browse through all those posts. So I'm gonna ask anyway: How to record internal audio for the destop? Thanks in advance.

          There's actually a Qt Example for this. Have a look here
          Check out the QAudioRecorder-class in general

          EDIT:

          It seems that QAudioRecorder records from microphone source only, but IIRC it's possible to set Windows output as virtual mic input
