Can someone reassure me about stdio in a PyQt5 application?
enjoysmath last edited by
I have a PyQt5 app that is going to receive and send data over stdio to a VSCode extension which started the PyQt5 app in a Process (typescript). Right now I am unable to launch into debug mode, so I have a little one-sided debugging going on, I can debug on each side but without the other side. So I have a QPlainTextEdit that is being sent stdin from a thread.
Is there a way I could pop up a standard console window with my PyQt5 app? Should I be using the QFile stdio trick?
Right now not receiving data on PyQt5 app end, but perhaps there's none being sent. Will look into that now (typescript).
