Very old, already read threads pop up as unread
-
Every once in a while I witness a strange behavior. I read all my unread posts, that number decreases as expected. When I think I'm done I'm signalled of about 60 new threads with unread posts. It's exactly two pages in the list. After I manually opened every single one of them to mark them "read" again. A new set of exactly two pages with unread posts pops up. In the actual case, the posts last back to September 23rd to 26th. I only get rid of the stale posts by pressing the "mark all as read" button.
This was at least the third or fourth time that his happened.
Did anyone else spot this behavior too?

Hi Volker,
From time to time I have a déja-vu like you, but only for about 6 to 10 posts I already read before. It's random and difficult to track....

Hi,
I never had such issues up to now.
-
I'll need the devnet-CSI team to get back from vacation to look into this, it's an odd one.
-
I'm experiencing a similar, strange issue: the "new topics search" returns me old results (starting from 1-2 days ago), completely ignoring unread, newer threads.
-
It hits me right now again. All old posts from October 19th. The only difference is that now I only get 2 to 3 posts in a batch.
-
The issue is still not completely solved, I was hit some time ago again, albeit it happens less often than last year.

This is probably a problem with the core discussion board software as we haven't touched code related to this feature. So we will report it to the makes. Note that this will then take some time :/

I was hit today. The thread "http://developer.qt.nokia.com/forums/viewthread/3260/":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/forums/viewthread/3260/ was reported as active. However, the rendering of the thread was seriously messed up. This was obviously caused by the fact, that the link to the thread had an extra /P15 at the end of it ("http://developer.qt.nokia.com/forums/viewthread/3260/P15":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/forums/viewthread/3260/P15).
Just in case this helps tracking down the problem.

Thank you Lukas! The /P15 thing is strange.

It is indeed strange, as other threads get rendered correctly, even when you add a /P15 at the end of it.
