Unsolved QtCreator 4.9.2 does not start
-
Linux Kubuntu 14.04, just installed Qt 5.13.0 with QtCreator 4.9.2. It did not started from beginning. In console it gives following error:
./qtcreator: symbol lookup error: /home/Gourmet/Qt5/5.13.0/Tools/QtCreator/lib/Qt/plugins/platforms/../../lib/libQt5XcbQpa.so.5: undefined symbol: FT_Get_Font_Format
and fails. Is solution known? Did not find it by Google.

@Gourmet If you ask questions on different channels, please be so nice and cross-link them. Even better would be to give others some time to answer.

For your problem: Ubuntu 14.04 is not supported with newer Creator versions, and is not supported by Canonical too since a few weeks.
Time to upgrade

Does the Qt 5.12.4 work with QtCreator 4.6.2? Is this enough to make 32/64 bit Android apps as required by Google? I have no time to upgrade right now. I must make and publish 64-bit versions of my 20 apps before August. I have got installed and working QtCreator 4.6.2. Is Qt 5.12.4 enough for this?
Or may be Qt 5.13.0 can be used with QtCreator 4.6.2? Or may be QtCreator 4.8 will help me?
-
@Gourmet you should be able to use Qt 5.12 and .13 with Creator 4.6.2 too. It also works the other way round, i.e. older Qt and newer Creator.
Nevertheless, Ubuntu 14.04 is a timebomb as it does not get updates anymore.

@aha_1980 "should be" is not definite... Qt 5.13 installs QtCreator 4.9.2 mandatory without ability refuse or remove it. That is a reason of my question. Why QtCreator 4.9.2 cannot be removed if I have to use older version?
-
@Gourmet You can download and install older QtCreator version in parallel to latest version.
