Unsolved How to install Qt packages which are no longer included in the MaintenanceTool
-
Hi all,
I just updated the MaintenanceTool (to version 3.1.0 I think). Now when I expand version 5.7 (which is currently installed) it only shows me the installed components, nothing more. Only from 5.9 upto 5.12 it shows all components to be installed/removed. So how can I install components from 5.7 (i.e. QT Charts) again?
Thanks!

@DuBu
can't confirm that, the archive section of the MaintenanceTool has everything down to 4.8did you select archive? you'll also have to press "refresh"
-
@J.Hilk On my Ubuntu machine Archive only goes down to Qt 5.7 (Refresh executed).
-
@J.Hilk Yes, but did you expand a version below 5.9? Let's say 5.7?
-
Ok, on macOS it seems to show complete versions down to 4.8. But on my Ubuntu machine it shows only already installed components. If I would remove these components, I'm afraid the whole 5.7 version is gone.

@DuBu
Maybe it's worth bringing to the bugtracker, because in windows it also goes back to 4.8 -

@J.Hilk Oops, updated :-)
-
Well it's apparently working as expected....
-
Yes, it works as expected for the Qt release team and it's easy for them to say one should move to a still supported version. It looks quite different in the embedded world when you rely on SOC companies and their SDKs like TI in our case.

@DuBu
well the linkJani Heikkinen
provided does contain 5.7 content for Linux. You don't have the convenience of the InstallerTool but you should be able to integrate it just as well, right? -
@J.Hilk Maybe, I have to try.
