Console issue when application is launched in target

Hi, I am running an qml application in Yocto OS embedded device. When i do enter press in the application , am able to see the device console also on the screen.(ie) it takes the enter press both in the application and the console. How to restrict the press event only to the application? And why is it able to perform the enter press for the console also?
