Solved Debug into Qt sources - mapping source path with prebuild version from Qt installer
-
Hello,
I do not get the debugging into the Qt sources running.
I have a Installation with the Installer on Debian, The sources are installed as well. Now I want to add source mapping under Tools->Debugger->Genral->Add
The installation is here: /home/user/Qt/5.12.1/now I tried "/home/user/Qt/5.12.1/gcc_64/bin" as well as "/home/user/Qt/5.12.1/gcc_64/lib" as source path and
"/home/user/Qt/5.12.1/Src" as Target path.
However this seems to be wrong.
What is the correct source path I have to specify? -
Ok, I finally got it working myself.
The right source path is/home/qt/work/qt
There is a second button besides the "Add" button in the dialog: "Add Qt Sources" which I did not notice.
That button automatically sets the right path and you only have to select the right target path to your sources.
(I think this should also be mentioned in the documentation) -

You can file a documentation change request on bugreports.qt.io
If you do so, please add a link to that report here. Thanks!
