      Guys,
Anyone know when we should be expecting the 4.8.0 RC and release?

      Cheers,

Well 4.8.0 has just gone into string freeze a few days ago so it should not be too long now until an RC is released. If you want it early just clone the git repo and build it yourself.

A good idea on the git repo; I hadn't tried that yet.

Although I've got stuff working on 4.8.0 from Jul 19, I'd prefer to wait for the release prior to shipping - hence my question.

          Thanks for the point.

"It's out, when it's ready." - the usual answer from the Trolls :-)

On the other hand, it was a good tradition to announce a new version on the occasion of the annual "Developer Days":http://qt.nokia.com/qtdevdays2011 conference...

We just rolled back from 4.8.0 because the network access manager was not properly handling "Connection: close" in the HTTP header. This resulted in a TCP reset when the next post was made over the connection, and the post sailed off into the ether.

There is an official bug # but I have to wait until I get to work to post it here. As of last week it hadn't even been looked into. This is a pretty big problem for us. We rolled back to 4.7.4 on Monday.

              Edit: here's the bug: "20924":https://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTBUG-20924
