Unsolved Qt Widget application remote debug (Win10 <-> Win10)
-
Hello all,
I'm developing an Qt Widget application (Qt Creator 4.8.1, Qt 5.12.1, kit "Desktop Qt 5.12.1 MSVC2017 64-bit") that shall run on both Linux and Windows on our specific HW (industrial PC). Currently I'm focused on the Windows version and would like to be able to run a remote debugging session (both development machine and target machine are running 64-bit Windows 10, dev machine is connected to internet, target is connected P2P to dev machine via LAN).
The reason I need a remote debug although having pretty much the same OS on both machines is that the application shall access the target specific HW via custom Windows drivers - this HW is not present on the dev machine.
I have done some searching but haven't found any solution that would seem to fit my problem. I have an experience with remote debugging windows applications using VS2015/2017 and the corresponding remote VS debugger and would hope something similar exists for Qt as well.My question is: what are my options to remotely debug the application in my environment? Do I have any chance to attach the remote VS debugger, or is Qt able to attach remotely some different Windows compatible remote debugger comming in the WinSDK?
Thank you in advance for your help

Hi
While i have not tried it personally
win 10 <-> Win 10, should also work.
