[Re-opened] Crashing application when trying to show popup window when moving focus to a date widget (KMyMoney) on MacOSX
-
A while ago I described an odd problem with a KMyMoney crashing on MacOSX when moving the focus to a date widget which wants to show and hide a little popup window (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=256902).
The "Quick-and Dirty Fix":http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/extragear/office/kmymoney/kmymoney/widgets/kmymoneydateinput.cpp?r1=1214207&r2=1214206&pathrev=1214207 was to simply remove the show() and hide() methods calls from KMM's code.
Does anyone with QT-background have a clue why this could happen??
In the above crash description on bugs.kde.org you can also find a detailed crash log.

If you have a small, self contained, compilable example, one could have a look at this.

OK, I'll see what I can come up with, Volker.
I'll come back to you as soon as I've got something. :-)
Thanks for caring. :-)) -
OK, it looks like the culprit has been found by now.
Obviously there was a wrong assignment for KPassivePopup:
@- d->m_datePopup = new KPassivePopup(d->m_dateEdit);
- d->m_datePopup = new KPassivePopup(parent);
@
So this hasn't actually been a QT bug, as I initially thought.

Nope, unfortunately the above did not solve this issue, as it turned out now. :-(
