Qt plugins deployment on Symbian
-
Hi all.
I'm writing an app that make use of maps. I would like to use OpenStreet Maps as service, and find out this plugins that seems to be a nice choice:

I'm still trying to learn how to do things in the best way with Qt, and at this point I have a problem... I'm not able to figure out how to deploy an application on Symbian that use that plugin... I'm able to use it by compiling sources and copying the dlls in the \plugins\geoservices directory for simulator, but I'm not able to do the same thing for Symbian... And also, it would be nice to have it installed automatically once the app is completed...
Any advice? :) -

You could have a look at the Spectrum demo which uses a third party fft library and can deploy on Symbian:

I've got this to deploy on Symbian; I don't recall at the moment if the deployment worked straight off, or if I had to tinker with the .pro files.

In case you don't know, you can also get QtCreator to help you with the set up. Right click inside your .pro file and select Add Library...
