Unsolved What is happening with forum post entry screen?

How about "tool tips" instead of this nonsense?
Are we playing "best guess " to figure out how actually post anything here?Which I cannot see AFTER it is added to the post.
If I have to RTFM to navigate this form - meaningless stuff is nonsense.
That is valid English descriptive word and if it offends , so be it. -
The > at the far right is for posting what you wrote.

No need. You just have to get familiarized with mobile GUI conventions. The 3 buttons on the blue bar (
x
,-
, and>
) represent "Close", "Minimize", and "Proceed" respectively. This is a common convention across different platforms. If you prefer to use a desktop GUI instead of a movile GUI, resize your browser window -- make it wider.

Good idea.
Ranting here won't help anyone. Submitting a suggestion to the forum developers will help (which I've done at https://community.nodebb.org/topic/15559/add-tooltips-alt-text-for-mobile-ui-buttons )

@JKSH Not an issue. I was referring what seems to be "improved" forum entry.
When I post from clipboard I do not see what was actually posted - no "picture" .
Also there is no apparent way to scroll to the previous post - so there is no way to refer - cut and paste - to
whatever I am replying to. -

@JKSH Since you brought it up - as I SAID BEFORE - I am a user and "it is not my job (man) " to do QA for somebody whose job it is and who is making a good living doing (stupid) things like changing post format WITHOUT minimal instruction .
Let's go back in time when product maker was (self) advertising their ware by making sure it was top notch - when it was in their interest to monitor the usage (this forum) - and NOT the (other , backward) way you suggest .
If the makers do not care (to sell their product) - why should the user care ?PS
Kindly explain
why I have to "widen" my screen - I did no changed anything
and HOW to widen my screen? -
A lot of people use the forum on desktop. So a lot of us have no idea what the problem is that you posted about. The widening is to use a desktop app instead of on phone.
Edit: Even though its not your job, you could put that you helped improved the Qt forum on your CV. Think of it as an internship.

The forum has not changed any formatting since November 2019. It was your PC setup that changed recently -- you just did not realize it or notice it. Do not blame the forum.
HOW to widen my screen?
Window. Not screen.

This is a user's forum. It's not your job to maintain it as much as it's not our job to even be here or respond.
The forum runs on 3rd party software. It's unrealistic to expect the 3rd party company to monitor entire internet for random complaints on any given instance of their software. It's also unrealistic and a burden to heavily modify local copy of 3rd party software (although it is done to some extent anyway where it makes sense resource wise).
There's also a matter of plain old good will. We're here to help each other and make this place friendly and useful to all of us. Suggestions, pointing out when something is inconvenient or could be improved is always a good thing and welcomed. Just please be polite. Keep in mind there are people on the other side of the wire and their goal here is not to inconvenience anyone. On the contrary.
To generalize a bit - there's being helpful and there's being an ass. Everyone's obviously free to choose their own stance in life but it's generally more useful on a whole to be at least constructive. Tooltip suggestion is a good one for example. JKSH passed it to the software manufacturer and it's possible they will incorporate it in future release. Cogs are turning and progress is made.

I have no issue admitting when something is my fault .
SO THIS IS NON ISSUE , MY FAULT
case closedHowever , I do object to the sermons.
It is getting tiresome.Within reason EVERYBODY has an option to express themselves
and it is NOBODY business how.You can all object to my style , but it is no business of yours.

Likewise, lecturing others like that is no fun. I would rather not :/
You can all object to my style , but it is no business of yours.
It is, as your style directly impacts us and others. You are not living in vacuum.
