Solved A project with Linux Generic Device is not deployed to a remote machine after updating Qt Creator.
-
I have a CMake project in which cross compilation was configured. Linux Generic Device is specified as the remote machine. However, after upgrading Qt Creator from version 5 to version 13, the app is no longer automatically deployed immediately after the build(Run). Writes the error“: -1: error: No rule to make target 'install'. Stop.". How can I fix this?

Hi @Rivand,
I'm not completely sure which Qt Creator versions you mean. I assume you upgraded from 4.5.x to 4.13.0, correct?
Regarding the deployment, that might have changed over time. Have you already read https://doc.qt.io/qtcreator/creator-deployment-embedded-linux.html#deploying-cmake-projects-to-generic-remote-linux-devices ?

@aha_1980 yes. I meant from 4.5.x to 4.13.0. Thank you so much for your response.

@aha_1980 I just solved it. It was necessary to remove the installation step from "Run settings".
