Unsolved Qt Creator won't start
-
I have just installed Qt 5.9.8 msvc 2015 64bit for Windows 7 Professional. qtcreator won't launch. There is an "QC" icon at the bottom but won't expand after clicking on it.
Tried the following tricks based on different suggestions:- Tried to reinstall Qt and tried a Standalone Qt Creator installation, won't work.
- Tried command line: qtcreator -noload Welcome, won't work.
- No "QtCreator.ini.lock" in the computer.
- Hard disk has 45 GB free space.
Any other comments?
Thanks!

Hi, just guessing, but try disable your anti-virus program.
-
Hi and welcome to devnet,
Do you have any error message ?
-
This post is deleted! -
@wmao1 maybe its offscreen ?
Have you tried moving it around with WindowsKey + ArrowKeys ?
-
@SGaist No error message
-
@J.Hilk Only showing on the Task bar. No response when clicking it. Tab+Alt won't display it.
-
@wmao1 Antivirus software disabled (as @hskoglund suggested)?
-
@jsulm @hskoglund I am not allowed to disable the anti-virus software, which is managed by security administrator. :(
One of my colleagues installed Qt and his qtcreator has no problem with the same anti-virus software. -
@wmao1 In that case I suggest that your administrator takes a look.
Tell him that QtCreator doesn't work on your machine. It could be something with your machine (not saying it's not a QtCreator issue). -
@wmao1 Have you tried to start QtCreator with parameter
-noload all -load Core
? -
@KroMignon tried "qtcreator -noload all -load Core", did not work.

Solved. It is hiding at the corner of the task bar.
