Unsolved How to run a Qt 5.12.2 application on macOS 10.11?
-
Hi,
I have a Qt 5.12.2 application which works on 10.12 and later. When I try to run the application on macOS 10.11, I'm getting an error "Qt requires macOS 10.12.0 or later, you have macOS 10.11.1".
I know Qt 5.12 supports OSX >= 10.12, so I thought of using Qt 5.11 which supports macOS 10.11, but I heard it's buggy on macOS 10.14. And let's say I downgrade my application to Qt 5.11, will it cause any issue?
What should I do to make it work for OSX >= 10.11?

You can try. Just install Qt 5.11.3, build your app using it and test on MacOS 10.14.
As alternative you can provide two versions of your app - one built using Qt 5.11.3 and one using latest stable release.

Hi,
As an alternative, you can also use a virtualization software like Parallels and run the oldest version of macOS you want to support and build on that one.
