Unsolved Creator: Possible to switch back to old model for autocomplete only?
-
After upgrading to 4.7.0, autocomplete practically doesn't work at all (there's a bunch of issues written to that effect).
Is it possible to switch back to the old code model for autocomplete as a temporary fix? While the old model had its weaknesses, particularly with templates and c++11/14 features, it's better than nothing. -
Yeah, just disable Clang Code Model in Help > Plugins...
-
No way to do this just for autocomplete? Because the old code model is pretty much useless for syntax highlighting by now.

AFAIK, no.
[Clang] autocomplete practically doesn't work at all
Can you elaborate? I'd say, while the Clang model has its weaknesses, it works pretty good. Maybe a bit slow sometimes...

My biggest joykiller right now is QTCREATORBUG-20857. Fortunately, I found some partial workarounds in the meantime.

Did you check out already under "Tools"->"Options"->"{}C++" and tab "Code model". There are a couple of different settings possible.
Just came across this.

Thanks for pointing that out.
I don't think these settings are related to the autocomplete behavior.
