Unsolved Use new Qt 5.11 QML compiler with Visual Studio
-
Hi all
As in topic is possibile to "enable" the new QML compiler just introduced with Qt 5.11 open source version using Visual Studio as development IDE?
I found this guide:
http://doc.qt.io/QtQuickCompiler/
but how to set the "qtquickcompiler" option with Visual Studio? (if possible)
Thank you -
There is no need to turn it on. The QML compiler is enabled by default. See https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qtquick-deployment.html#qml-caching
-
This is the caching done at first execution into the target machine. I'm referring to the topic just below your:
https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qtquick-deployment.html#compiling-qml-ahead-of-time
Before this feature was part only of the commercial version but from 5.11 is available also for open source.

- Have you CONFIG += qtquickcompiler to your .pro file? If so, did you get any error message?
- Is qtquickcompiler available in your PATH?

These steps are for Qt Creator (inside the .pro file). I already tested and it work but my question was how do the same using Visual Studio?

@Suppaman
i guess you have to wait until the Qt VS plugin has added support for add the corresponding custom build steps
