Unsolved Getting Qt Help to Work in VS 2017
-
Hi everyone,
I'm excited to know that VS2017 (Version 15.4.4) has an add-in (Version 2.1.2) that allows one to use the help feature similar to how it is done in Qt Creator. The problem that I'm facing, is when you try to get doc info on a particular function instead of a class. For instance, QPushButton class and acceptsDrops() function. If you hover over that function and press the F1 key, it will crash Visual Studio. If you do it for the class, you're okay. Would you happen to know why this is happening? I tried even setting VS to open a browser within the platform, which I don't know how to do. Not sure if it is possible. But it didn't crash for the class QPushButton, so I'm starting to think that it might just be an issue in the plugin.

Hi,
Sorry I can't answer that question. However I fail to see its relation with your topic title, it's pretty misleading and might fail to attract someone who could answer it.
By the way, you should also add which exact version of VS2017 you are using as well as plugin version.
You should also take a look at the bug report system to see if there's something related.

Yeah, that was an accident. I had two questions, with one of them needing to be in that section and I accidentally put this one there too. Thanks for your help! I'll follow your tips.
