Unsolved QPushButton with "-" looks different
-
Hi,
i have an QPushButton that looks a little bit different and I don't know why.
Here is the code:
ButtonTest::ButtonTest(QWidget *parent) : QWidget(parent) { QHBoxLayout *layout = new QHBoxLayout; QPushButton *add = new QPushButton("+", this); QPushButton *del = new QPushButton("-", this); layout->addWidget(add); layout->addWidget(del); this->setLayout(layout); }
And here a Screenshot how it looks.
Why the del Button looks so different?
Qt 5.6.1 and 5.7.0 on macOS 10.11.6Greets, Maptuzu
EDIT: changed url for image

Hi
there is something up with the upload function.
I cant see the image.
So will and some wont. -
Hmm, same problem with dot
-
Strange indeed.
Workaround:
QPushButton *del = new QPushButton(QString(QChar(static_cast<ushort>(2012))), this);

I just tried your original code on
- Ubuntu 16.04 with Qt 5.7.0 (Qt Creator 4.0.3 built with gcc 4.9.1, 64bit) using gcc 5.4.0
- MacOS 10.11.6 with Qt 5.7.0 (Qt Creator 4.0.3 built with Clang 7.0, 64bit) using XCode 7.3.1
In both these cases, the buttons look equally normal. Are you using the latest XCode?

@VRonin
I get the following error:
OpenType support missing for script 66 -
After the reinstall from macOS (Sierra), Qt (5.7), QtCreator (4.1.0) and XCode (8), the problem still occurs
-
I already reported this bug, please see https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-53679
-
@kegon Thanks for the info. I hope they will fix it, it is open since may...
-
Qt 5.9 RC, macOS (10.12.5), Qt Creator (4.3.0) and XCode (8.3.2) and the problem still occurs.
-
I'm on MacOS 10.9 and this bug doesn't occur.
Maybe the following could solve this issue:del->setMaximumHeight(32);
or something like that.
