Unsolved Qt application for smart TV
-
Hi all,
I'd like to port my Qt QML application to a smart TV but it's not very clear what smart TV supports Qt.Does Qt application built for Android smartphone is compatible with Android TV ?
What about Tizen or WebOS ?
Thanks!

this depends on the used system and architecture.

yes. You might just need some adaptions in the manifest.
What about Tizen or WebOS ?
Both not officially supported.
But see this for WebOS (which is almost dead by now)
And this and this for Tizen. But i don't know how active the Qt-Tizen community still is... -
@raven-worx Thanks!
What modification should I do to my app's Manifest?
At the moment I'm using default Manifest created by QtCreator and I can run my app on any Android smartphone. -
@luca
actually you should already be able to install your app on AndroidTV (assuming the architecture is correct - ARM/x86).
But if you want to display it in the (AndroidTV-)Play Store and on the AndroidTV start screen (see "Leanback") you need to mark it as AndroidTV ready.
Honestly i've not tried it yet.
But take a look at this. -
@raven-worx Useful link!
It seems quite simple to port from smartphone to Android TV.I'll try!
Thanks!
