Unsolved linuxfb will support OpenGL ?
-
Hello,
In Qt wiki documentation it is said explicitly:
".... This is not relevant for non-accelerated platforms, for example the ones using the LinuxFB plugin, however neither OpenGL nor Qt Quick 2 will be functional in such a setup."
Is there any reason why OpenGL is not supported with linuxfb (platform without hardware acceleration) ? Will is be supported in the future ?Regards,

Hi,
No hardware acceleration means no GPU and a GPU is mandatory to use OpenGL but that's nothing Qt specific here.

Hi,
The Qt documentation mention EGL,
but if some platform (Intel for example) support OpenGL, is it same as eglfs ?Another thing: we need OpenGL in multiple streams (/dev/fb0, /dev/fb1, ...), but I see that eglfs is used only with /fb0 , Is that Right ?
And another thing I wander: how Qt known that some /dev/fb0 support OpenGL/EGL or not ?

Did you read that documentation page ?
Do you mean you will have several application each running on a frame buffer ?
